With a background in Sociology and a diploma in Early Childhood Education, Devyani’s path into psychotherapy began through her early work with children and at-risk youth. It was during this time—listening to the voices of young people navigating peer pressure, exposure to street culture, and the complexities of choice—that Devyani found her calling in the field of mental health and addictions.
Her work has spanned diverse settings, from supporting inner-city communities to working in private practice with more affluent populations. Through these experiences, she came to deeply value the principle of meeting clients where they are—recognizing that healing is not one-size-fits-all, and each person’s journey deserves respect and tailored support.
As a South Asian therapist, Devyani brings a personal understanding of the nuanced challenges that can arise when navigating dual cultural identities. She holds space for those working through the tension between cultural expectations and individual desires, and is passionate about destigmatizing mental health within communities where these conversations are often overlooked or minimized.
Devyani works with adults (18+) from all walks of life who may be facing anxiety, trauma, relationship concerns, identity struggles, or emotional overwhelm. Her approach is integrative and adaptive, drawing from:
Above all, Devyani offers a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported in taking meaningful steps toward their own version of well-being.
